  • People should be motivated from within. Most peak performers are not goal-driven but value-based and inspired by a purpose.
  • The ARC Framework:
    • Autonomy – allow your employees to have a certain degree of self-sufficiency.
    • Relatedness –  create a bond between employees.
    • Competence – your employees should be capable of doing the job.

  • Salary is part of the equation; however, feeling you’re valuable to the company is even more critical.
  • The ARC Framework:
    • Autonomy – Empower employees, but hold them accountable.
    • Relatedness – Team building events and bonding with other employees is key.
    • Competence  – Developing on a personal level, acquiring competence, and allowing your people to follow their passion.
