Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: Try This Marketing Strategy with Adam Adams

[1:18] – Adam shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

  • People are chasing shiny objects. They think that this is the next big thing. They will try it for a few months and before they strike gold, they pivot and try the next big thing, then blame it on the thing not being as effective as told.
  • If you are persistent and determined, you will get success.

[2:44] – What is this marketing strategy that Adam is talking about and why is it so effective?

  • Private messaging is going on in different social media platforms. The strategy is all around reaching out to people individually, but on a level that results in more connections.

[3:30] – Some examples Adam shares where the marketing strategy has been effective.

  • In hosting your own conferences, you can use this marketing strategy to reach out to people and connect with them. You’ll end up filling up rooms larger than a lot of people
  • Don’t tell. Make sure that every message has a question involved in it.
  • Make sure the message is short.
  • When people send links, they get turned off automatically. Never send a link without permission.
  • You always want it to be personal. The copy/paste message doesn’t say anything personal.

  • Hire a virtual assistant to help out. Create 6 different templates of the first outreach. It may only cost you $50-$60 a day. If your product, service, conference, or podcast is valuable enough, and you can find a way to monetize it, then it makes it very simple and hands off.

  • Make sure they have a template. That’s the slightly hard part. Doing the hard work up front pays off. Create about 6 first messages, have brackets with instructions (like insert personal message here), or (insert city here).
  • Think about what kinds of discounts you’ll make available.
  • Have a good conversation with the person who is doing things on your behalf about being friendly, being polite, and not overpromising. Have conversations about the thought process so they will be empowered and ready to go.
