[1:16] – Eric shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

You do not have to have money to make money. You have to know people and you have to make an impact or add value to them, and they have to know you.

[2:57] – Active duty, passive income.

They’ve created a group of 62,000 members, military and veteran members and their spouses and families, growing at about 5% per month and maintaining an 82% engagement rate.
The reason why it’s transformational for people is because they listen.
Active duty, passive income is doing amazing things for people, changing lives, and saving lives.

[5:05] – Military house hacking.

House hacking is when a military member understands and takes advantage of their earned benefits that are unique to military members – past and present – who have served, and how they maximize their cash flow opportunities.
13% of veterans have used their VA loan.

[7:13] – The importance of finding purpose and passion in our lives after serving.

Those who’ve served our country are some of the most diligent, capable, responsible, and productive members of society, but they have to have new purpose as they transition out.
You can become successful in whatever you want and continue to serve and change lives, but you’ve got to find that new sense of purpose.

[12:13] – Ending veteran homelessness and veteran suicide.

When we serve, we’re given a purpose. When we exit, all of the accomplishments, pats on the back, awards you used to have… they will be stripped away.
When you hit that guardrail as you’re steering off around that corner, your internal body parts continue forward and leave wake in destruction. That is exactly what happens to a veteran. Whether they’re conscious about it or not.
There’re 3000 cities on the wait list for VCP to come into their town and end the problem of veteran homelessness.
Purpose and service, those two things will end veteran suicide and homelessness.

[19:14] – Success formula to achieve everything we want in life.

Learn all you can through books, podcasts, and available resources.
Network at meetups, at conferences – virtual or in person – wherever you are.
Add as much value to others as you possibly can. You’ve got to intentionally network. Listen to their problems and see where you might be able to help.
Take consistent, decisive action. Don’t get caught up in just learning. If you don’t take action, if you don’t put this into motion, you will not go anywhere.

Whatever it is you want in life, you can go get it.
Life is short. The older you get and the more you explore, the more you’ll realize the only thing that matters is the smile on your face. So go do what you love and don’t care what anyone else says about it. That’s all you got.
