Success isn’t about chasing that daily hassle , certainty and stability which she used to think was. Now that she has a few companies under her belt, she has totally shifted her thinking of what it means to become successful. Now, its all about how to embrace uncertainty, how can she design for her own adaptability even in her own thinking . Most people are focused on their control and their goals and progress but that no longer works particularly where we are headed with technology. Now its about that constant iteration and about strategic risk taking and having an anti-fragile mindset that can thrive in the face of exponential change. We can no longer say “what is my five year plan?” because the future doesn’t unfold that way but instead “what is the next intelligent risk that I can take in order to achieve my goals leap frogging over some steps that are in place?”. If you can do that, not only you will become successful but you will be way ahead of the competition.

We are really shifting from the Age of Engines to the Age of Intelligence and there are some major implications for business.
The Age of Engines is a 200 year cycle that was dominated by mechanical engineering as well as industrialization and centralized systems. Our 9-5 work hour and education system is based on the factory model and we know that those models no longer serve us and we are now in the brink of the new 200-year arc. That is really the turning point for humanity and intelligence, it is shifting the way that we think and how we integrate with technology not only within our lives but also integrate with technology in our bodies which is extremely interesting in the years to come.
