Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: The CEO’s Playbook: Charge, Expand, and Overcome

[1:31] – Michael shares something that he believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.

• Most people think success is hard, long struggle and creating wealth is a journey of climbing a big mountain to get to. For him, success is a immediate and instant but the struggle and the journey is in becoming the person who believes it can be immediate. The hardest part is becoming the person who is able to do that thing. Success is the true journey and not the work itself.

[2:46] –  Michael talks about the acronym C.E.O. and what it means.

• You are a CEO is the name of his company and it means you have to be the CEO of your life and your business. Charge, Expand and Overcome is giving a mindset and a game plan about leadership and self-leadership and entrepreneur and self-preneur.
• Charge is taking action and being committed to the things you have to do. Delay is the greatest enemy of success and it stops people of becoming what they want to become.
• Expand has to do with the ability to grow. If we want to do a lot, we need to be willing to grow.
• Overcome is to not run away from obstacles. There is a tug of war between our expectation and our desire and when the desire is great, we focus on it and not being able to deal with the expectation. The process of overcoming will allow us to get further and having this mindset will truly bring you to becoming the CEO of your life and  business.

[5:11] – Michael talks about his story of preparing for Entrepreneurship.

• He talks about 2 aspects , his personal and professional journey. When he was a child he grew up witnessing the domestic violence that his mother experienced and had  to transfer to 6 different elementary schools. It has caused him to believe that he is not going to accomplish things but gave him a great lesson of how to deal with fear and opposition that gave him the critical entrepreneurship skills. Some of his greatest pains created him his greatest profits because it taught him to stick to things when the journey gets tough.
• He was able to go to college and later ended up an assignment in Toyota and was handpicked by the chairman to be a part pf a special project team to go to Nagasaki, Japan. There he learned the highest level of operational excellence from real foundations and transformed his thinking as an entrepreneur forever because he saw everything begins with value.

[9:06] – Michael talks about the steps to take for new Entrepreneurs who want to build a successful business.

• There are 5 important things: 1) Be determined or an overwhelming desire to succeed. Having a mindset to be successful and make right decisions. 2) Willingness to develop or be to be expert on something which you can build yourself and your business around. 3) Being discipline because it is what will keep you going without seeing the difficulties. 4) Being decisive or being able to make quick decisions, believe in what’s possible and take action. 5) Have directors in your life that can direct you and have patterns that you can follow because they have been there before. They will help you save time and energy.

[17:50] – Michael talks about the #1 reason why most entrepreneurs get stuck and struggle to grow.

• It is because they fail to understand the process of growth. The process of a seed in becoming a tree is it has to die and undergo change.  One of the reason why people get stuck is not realizing the process that they need to go through but when they understand the process of growth it will free them and shift their mind from anxiety to anticipation keeping them from getting stuck and grow and move forward.

[20:37] – Michael gives an advice to those entrepreneurs in a dark place and looking for a transformation.

• His advice is to let the sun shine in when you are in a dark place and that sun is the access to information that can take you higher.
• The biggest mistake is not being able to understand the purpose of learning which is to arrive in a level of mastery.
• Intelligence is the speed in which you learn. When you are in a dark place, you need sunlight to let in and that sunlight begins in how you see yourself and taking time to learn from someone to help you rise above that darkness.
