He is a five-time ClickFunnels two comma club award winner, founder of the Hundred X Academy and creator of the Crush. It with challenges program, Pedro is best known for helping entrepreneurs launch grow and scale their business with the power of free and paid challenges. And he has impacted tens of thousands of entrepreneurs by delivering his expert training in over 98 countries and fire nation. You have the chance today to sign up for his free movement maker challenge which starts on March 22nd to 2021.
0 (48s):
Visit eofire.com/challenges, eofire.com/challenges. Sign up for this amazing movement maker challenge. It is free. It is awesome. I'm going to be a part of it. It's going to be so much fun. eofire.com/challenges. And today Fire Nation, we'll talk about what a challenge is, how it can work in any niche and why you should consider creating a challenge in your niche and so much more. So let's just dive right in Pedro, say what's up to fire nation. And also tell me something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
1 (1m 29s):
Okay. What's up Fire Nation. This is honored to be here again for, I think my second time. And I thought you were gonna ask me about the movie thing last time, where I, where I dropped my favorite movie was bore at change it up by the way. I think a lot of people didn't see that one coming, you know, but the thing that I believe adamantly strongly fervently that you must do to be successful, that I would say I get pushed back on quite a bit, or at least I'm not sure my contemporaries agree at the same level that I'm convicted on this topic.
1 (2m 10s):
I believe to me successful today, you must create and carve micro niches. It's no longer, okay. Just to have a niche, you must have a micro niche and I'm happy to go deeper on that if you want.
0 (2m 27s):
Yes. I mean, Pedro, I've been saying for a decade now that the riches are in the niches and that was true for a decade, but it's no longer true. What is true now is the riches are in the micro niches and fire nation. You should love hearing that because it gets more and more simple to just say, there's one thing I'm going to become the best solution to just one thing I want to become known for. And people will beat a path to the doorstep of the number one solution to their real problems, Fire Nation, and they will ignore. And I mean, ignore the second best solution all the way through to infinity. So Pedro, we did hear your backstory last time on Entrepreneurs On Fire, but it's been a year.
0 (3m 9s):
So give it back to us because I think all the new listeners of Entrepreneurs On Fire and the ones that maybe have gotten a little hazy on your history, your backstory, they need to be reminded because it's so much fire. It's so much excitement. It's so much truth. Break it down for us.
1 (3m 26s):
I went to college, I got a four year degree from UC Davis Economics, you know, got, went into, got a job corporate America, seven, eight years climb the corporate ladder fast, got rent, ridiculously bored, and then launched out as a Sarna side hustle real estate. I was an appraiser. Then I became a real estate broker. And then I became a lender. Now I'm doing some side hustle real estate. I'm now making more money part-time than full-time. I'll walk off my full-time job after having my wife's blessing. After having one years of my expenses in the bank, after it's now costing me money to keep my full-time job reluctantly, I walked away from it, but happily never looked back, started crushing it and business.
1 (4m 16s):
As my real estate business grew, I became a financial planner. Then I began flipping houses and was just like, man. Pedro was like the Midas touch, everything. He did everything. He touched, turned to gold. I was having this crazy success. And then I got a little bit carried away. I met some wrong people, took some bad advice. And the millions I had made, I lost all of my own millions and 3 million of my friends, millions in just a horrible real estate investment. And for the first time in my life, in my mid thirties, with a stay-at-home mom and three kids to take care of, I found myself completely broken, busted, depressed, massive failure, blame shame, people that were my friends were now my enemies.
1 (5m 10s):
I was being falsely accused of stuff I didn't do. And it was the worst. It was short of short of not short of like short of like having a destructive physical element, like short of having some, you know, terminal illness. I, it was the worst. I can imagine life being, I was depressed for three years. I, I spent the better part of a year praying to God. Now let me wake up. So my wife could collect on the life insurance money and get out of this mess. And, and then man, then I had to face a lot of reality as to what happened.
1 (5m 53s):
How did I end up in that place? You talk about personal growth. I went on a very spiritual, a deep, spiritual, personal growth journey. Looking, looking into some, ask myself some hard questions and got back into the financial industry, began to have success. Again, took that business online for in 2016, I broke the mold. All of my peers were sending out mailers, inviting seniors to free steak dinners and free chicken dinners. And I was doing that too. And having some success and I'm like, this is dumb. Like, why am I sending mail? Like we have the internet, like these people are on Facebook, right?
1 (6m 35s):
Like, so I wrote a book. I wrote a book called Retired and Free. And I began inviting people on Facebook and using ClickFunnels to come to come to a meet the author retirement education event. So I taught myself ads and funnels. I grew, I doubled the revenue of my financial planning, business, brick and mortar service business from 600,000 a year to almost 1.2 million over like in one year, doubled it by making that shift. And then I went on to launch an accidental business called 100 X in may of 2018, doing a free masterclass, AKA challenge with no plans of launching a business.
1 (7m 21s):
I just trained my guts out. I found a micro niche of people that I was a part of that I had, that I cared for. I wanted to serve and I just taught them. I taught them through the pains and lessons and failures of, of, of my honor journey. I taught them online marketing. They did demanded me to make them an offer. They banked me to sell them something. They said, please don't leave us. You are our mentor. Now you're our coach. Please keep this group going. So we launched a 12 month mentoring program called 100 X acceleration. We launched that three, three years ago and I I'm like, well, if I got this business, I might as well keep growing it.
1 (8m 3s):
So I just ran challenges every single month, sometimes twice a month. John and I ran so many freaking challenges to build my Hunter X business. I became the number one expert at challenges. And then about a year ago, this time people like Evan Pagan, Jeff Walker, Roland Frasier, even you John. We, we, we connected. And so many of my friends and industry callings were saying, Pedro, you've got a launch program with your challenge framework. So a year ago, literally almost a year ago to this, this time now I, you know, burst on the scene, air quotes. I became an air quote overnight success a year ago when I went from an industry outsider, totally unknown, no one knew who I was.
1 (8m 49s):
Cause I was building a wildly successful business in a micro niche. 100 X is catered caters, exclusively to like very passionate, you know, faith-based entrepreneurs. And so, no, even though I was killing it in that micro unit, nobody really knew me in the industry. So a year ago I had this coming out party. I get discovered. And since then challenges are taken over the internet. I've gotten to work with Dean Grasiozi, Damon, John, Chris Voss. I mean pretty much every industry leading marketer, entrepreneur is running my challenge model and I'm also more proudly have helped.
1 (9m 34s):
Thousands of early stage entrepreneurs finally have success with our challenge framework. We've scaled to eight figures over 10 million. Well over 10 million a year in revenue in just my second year online, I've now crushed highly profitably 47 challenges in a row. And the thing I'm most proud of is John Lee Dumas considers me a friend. And there you go.
0 (10m 3s):
I mean, I will take that as the highest of high compliments, my friends. And there's so much that I love about this story. One of the things I love most about it is the recency of it. I mean, so many people are like, yeah, but I mean, Jeff Walker, he's been doing it since like 98 and you know, Frank Kern has been doing it since 92. I mean like how can we even compete with these people who have been in the game for so, so long? And like, I totally get that, which is why I love bringing Pedro into the game. He's like, yo in 2018, like I just did something and it just worked. And it was in a micro niche. I had no illusions of grand juror. I no like conception. This was going to turn into anything, but I just listened to my audience. I provided a massive value and I just continued to follow the value.
0 (10m 46s):
How can I continue to solve my audience's problems? And that's why fire nation right now it's available to you to do something so similar in your world. And by the way, what better way to get fired up and to get excited about what your movement is in this world about how you can become a movement makers. I mean, that you're passionate about then to do a challenge on your passion, on your topic, on your expertise, on your skillset, on the value that you can bring to the world, which is why I'm so excited to bring Pedro on for this episode to talk about this and you know, for you foundation to have the opportunity, by the way, on March 22nd of 2021 to start the movement maker challenge for free.
0 (11m 30s):
So just like I said, in the intro, eofire.com/challenges, go there, learn more, sign up, joining myself, joined Pedro, all the other amazing people that he mentioned are going to be a great part of it. I'm doing an incredible interview series during it with Billie Jean, with how our rod, with other amazing entrepreneurs that we have lined up, eofire.com/challenges. But Pedro, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, there might be some people listening right now that are saying what the heck is a challenge,
1 (12m 0s):
A challenge just to put it as simply and plainly as possible. Let's peel back all the marketing let's peel back the technology. Let me just give you the essence of what a challenge is. It's a live interactive learning experience that happens over a number of days. You can pick the days where it can be a five day, seven days where you are promising to deliver one primary outcome. And this all takes place in the context of a private Facebook group.
1 (12m 41s):
That's it in an, in an and, and, and as pure as I can make it. JLD, that's really what a challenge is, which means all that you need to actually run a Pedro, some version, crush it with challenge challenge, right, is a smartphone and a Facebook account because you can create a Facebook group for free. And literally that's all you need to go live every single day, deliver content, deliver valuable action oriented information. And that what makes a challenge unique. They're not just consuming content passively. They're giving you permission to coach them and lead them.
1 (13m 22s):
They're expecting you to give them assignments and do work, which means they're actually going to be applying something every single day. The challenge framework is built on momentum. It's built on them getting what I call micro wins, small daily steps, which put them into a positive momentum of progress that they're going to want to stay in. And so in a nutshell, JLD as crisp as I can put it. That's what a challenge is. And I could talk about why they're so effective later, but that's really all a challenge is and its core. Yeah.
0 (13m 58s):
Or we can talk about why they're so effective for sure. And I also kinda want to be weaving in like real specific examples, like different examples too. Like not from like the Dean Grasiozi and the Russell Brunson's of the world. Like let's talk about some real people that have done real challenges because I know challenges can work in any niche. They can literally work from anywhere and they can literally work any time. So start to break this down for us, because I want fire nation who, you know, these people that are listening to be able to say, I can identify with that challenge or that person or that opportunity. And that's going to really start to paint this great picture. So give us some of that. Yeah.
1 (14m 35s):
So for example, I had had a student, he was in one of my, one of my masterminds training program. He was struggling him and his wife had a course for Amazon. It's basically like Amazon, I think FBA, right? How to private label create products in China and then sell them on Amazon and make like, you know, passive income. So he was marketing it as passive income and blah blah. And he did one and he did a couple of webinars. He made like 60 grand. And now is it stuck? Like could not get anyone to buy this thing literally was about to give up on the business and just go on something else.
1 (15m 16s):
And I'm consulting with him and I'm like, Hey Steven, tell me, who are your favorite customers? Like who's gotten the most. Who have you seen get the most results from your program? And who do you really enjoy the most to work with? Who were some of your best success stories? And then he's like, well, he starts kind of going through and giving me a couple of things. And then I saw a pattern that he just, he also, he happened to have quite a few stay home moms, stay home, homeschool moms that he really enjoyed working with and we're getting success. And I'm like, stop. Tell me no more. You need to shift your entire focus of who you're trying to sell your Amazon course to, to stay home.
1 (16m 0s):
Homeschooling mothers. He's like what? He's like, dude, you're crazy. I'm like, that's a horrible idea. He's like, what about all the other dudes and other people looking at me? I said, dude, I don't listen to me. You're in my mastermind for a reason. If you want to make this work, Tonya right now, ignore the rest of the world, go all in on homeschool moms. You need to change your branding. It's too masculine. Make it, change the colors, mix it up and go serve those people and do it on the back of a challenge. So I mapped out his challenge. I gave him his niche.
1 (16m 40s):
He goes and does his first challenge. I think he does. 60K on challenge. Number one, challenge. Number two, does I think a hundred grand challenge. Number three does $1 million. Not in a year. JLD in one challenge and now he's done three seven figure challenges in a row selling stuff you could probably learn for free on YouTube to homeschool moms. That's one example. I have Julia Winston who get this JLD I have a lot of people that are attracted to me that are very spiritual.
1 (17m 23s):
They're in. I called the woo-hoo business. You know, the mobile business, right? JLD woo, woo business. Like all the Uber, spiritual, all that kind of stuff. And they really have a hard time with this money stuff usually because they're, they wanna, they, they have a hard time getting practical with the problems that they solve. Right. It's like they can't, they can't tell you why their stuff is so amazing. It's like, well, it's just awesome. You have to just trust me. Like ain't no one going to trust you. If you can tell them why it's amazing you, if you can't tell them why it's awesome, then you don't know what you're doing. Like you need to go get clear. So Julia Winston literally has a business.
1 (18m 2s):
JLD just had her first six figure year ever in 2020 and just messaged me like two weeks ago had her first six-figure month. Do you know what she does? She teaches Christian business owners. How to pray in profits for their business. Literally she is, she had her first six figure month and her first six figure year, last year now teaching Christian business owners, how to pray in profits for their businesses. Last time I checked, I thought that was kind of free is now what church is for, but it's not because so literally I've seen people with make money, Amazon niches.
1 (18m 53s):
I've seen people with the most super Uber spiritual niches. I've got people in service-based businesses. My financial services company, which I don't even focus on is blowing up and growing tremendously on the back of the liens we create from challenges. I mean, John, I've got like hundreds of examples of different niches. I've got it's it's not just the typical coaches, consultants, course creators, all that stuff. A hundred percent. We've got service providers. We've got roofers, creating roofing liens with these challenges and enter w you know, was kind of funny. JLD the best testimonials of my challenge model.
1 (19m 36s):
I don't even think I'm aware of there's so many people who've got my framework ran off or using it, killing it. They've never even wrote me a note and said, Hey, I'm using your model. I'm rich. I'm a million. I like. So I think, I think the best case studies I'm not even aware of because sometimes people just get so busy and successful. They forget to send you a note. JLD how many people do you think you've changed their life forever and you've and you never heard back from them. That's all it gets. Cool. That's right. So, but I've got a, we're going to be literally showcasing JLD, hundreds of success stories next week of different people's niches, dif different different ages.
0 (20m 16s):
Let's just take a step back real quick, Pedro, because you've now shared like how challenges can work literally in any niche, literally anywhere, literally at any time. And now you're saying, Hey, I love giving value to the world. I love this world that I created in this micro niche. Now I want to do it in a big way. I want to help other people create their movements and you have this free movement maker challenge. So let's spend the rest of our time that we have the chat here today, talking about the maker challenge, which by the way, Fire Nation is free, which you can secure your spot at eofire.com/challenges.
0 (20m 56s):
And there's a lot of cool things. I'm doing a lot of cool things with Pedro during this as well. So if you're part of Fire Nation, you should be part of this movement maker challenge eofire.com/challenges. Pedro, take it away.
1 (21m 11s):
I just want to get better. Right. And challenging. I just want to get better. I want to, I want to be a better communicator, a more effective trainer. I'm like, I'm like, that's, I'm like, God, like, how can I help more people? How can I make this easier? I want to, I want my frameworks to be the most accessible, because if they're not accessible, people can't use them and they can't get the breakthrough and the results. So I'm just thinking about that yesterday. And the download came. I can tell you that as JLD. And I'm sure when I looked through your book, The Common Path to Uncommon Success, as I've looked through it, as I, as, as we've planned our super cool VIP backstage pass experience, I believe every single one of these entrepreneurs that you have featured in here, as well as my own story.
1 (21m 60s):
Tell me if this has not been exactly what's happened. There is guys I have launched from scratch now three multiple seven figure businesses that hit seven figures in 12 months or less three times in a row. And here's what I've built. Here's what I did every single time. And here's how I'm gonna be breaking down next week. There's a three-step proven path to this step one. You must carve a micro niche. You must carve a micro niche. You must carve a micro niche. If you fail to do that, you're going to probably struggle in lose step one. I always had a micro niche back in the day. It was, it was Solano County, California.
1 (22m 42s):
I was serving those four or five cities. I was the number one retirement guy I had. I was a best-selling author. I was, I was running more ads. I was showing up. I was taking market share. There wasn't even a close second. I was literally the number one guy in town, micro niche. I wasn't trying to serve the whole world. I was showing up for my niche market in those three cities. Then with hundred eggs, I did it again for very passionate Christian entrepreneurs who want to win online. And now in a bigger scale, I'm doing it as the challenge guy. I'm don't talk about podcasts.
1 (23m 22s):
I don't teach in YouTube. I don't know crap about TikToK. I'm brand new on clubhouse. I don't talk about webinars. VSLs, Lead magnets, high ticket. I don't talk about anything other than how to crush challenges. So one, you must have a micro niche. Two, you must learn the power of movement based messaging. You must take your business and turn it into a movement. You're on the entrepreneur on fire podcast. JLD has Fire Nation. What is that about? That's movement based messaging. That that is John enrolling you in this conversation that, Hey, you're not just in this by yourself.
1 (24m 6s):
It's not just, we're not just all here for individuals. We are part of a movement called Entrepreneurs On Fire. This is for your part of Fire Nation and, and you must have a something that's bigger than you. There must be a cause. Stand you take messaging that you put out there to your ideal customer audience. There is an identity. There is a new identity that you must put out there that your customers want to aspire to become. You must learn movement based messaging. And then, and then when you go learn and run my challenge model, you can crush it with challenges because the challenges, the challenge framework is the magnifier.
1 (24m 51s):
It's the multiplier. It's the megaphone, but what are we amplifying? If your message is weak, if it's unclear, if you're uncertain, if you lack confidence and we amplify your message, it won't matter because no one's going to care. And so John, I've done. I'm telling you, I know, like I know entrepreneurs must do these three steps. They must have these three things. These three things elements present at the same time. If they fail to violate this, this is a law like this is I'm gonna, I'm declaring this law. If they violate this law, they will lose. They will lose. They will struggle. They will have, they will not have the impact and income that they want.
1 (25m 34s):
So over the next five days, I'm going to break down every single one of those essential elements. And, and I'm going to have, JLD break it down and I'm going to have Russell Brunson, break it down and Dean Grasiozi break it down. And you're going to hear a Billy Jean. You're going to hear probably 15 entrepreneurs, all telling you the exact same thing. We've all done. These same three steps. It just looked different because some of us are white. Some of us are black. Some of us are tall. Some of us are skinny. Some of us are in this niche. Some of us are in that niche. And because we look different talk different or different niches, maybe you didn't realize we were all doing the same things.
1 (26m 16s):
And that's why I love this book, John, that you wrote The Common Path to Uncommon Success. That's why every single one of your people should absolutely join the VIP and get more time with me and you and get your freaking awesome book. Guys. This is the path. Please stop going from shiny object to shiny object from trend to trend. This is what it means to be, to succeed in 2021. This is the requirement. It's a very noisy world out there. And this is your only shot in my humble opinion. I'm not trying to be negative, but I honestly believe this is your only shot at winning in 2021 is to cut through the noise and become a moment maker and crush challenges,
0 (26m 59s):
Fire Nation. What are you doing? If you're listening to these words by Pedro, if you're hearing me tell you, this is a meaningful, necessary challenge for you to go through, and then you're not going ahead and doing, you're not going ahead and going through with it. What does that saying about yourself? I mean, you're spending time right now to listen to our voices, to hear us like you're taking that step. So you're spending time to shrine yourself with the right people, to be educated, to be trained by people who are running multi seven, figure a year, businesses, eight figure a year businesses. I mean, you're consuming the right content. Now, are you going to put in the work? Are you going to put in the work? And by the way, this is an investment. No, not a money investments.
0 (27m 39s):
This is a time investment. This is an energy investment. This is a bandwidth investments. Ask yourself, am I worth it? Am I worth the investment? It's going to take for me to put my time, my energy, my effort into this. And if the answer is yes, that you're worth it, then you will join us at eofire.com/challenges. You will join myself. Pedro, Billie Jean Hal Elrod, Russell Brunson, Dean Grasiozi, Pete Vargas. I mean, literally the list goes on. It is in sanity. eofire.com/challenges. Get over there, sign up for it. Pedro, take us home.
0 (28m 19s):
What do you want to make sure that we get from everything that we talked about here today? What is maybe one final thing? That's just going to make this challenge irresistible that starts on March 22nd of 2021. Bring it home.
1 (28m 33s):
But I will tell you is what I said earlier today in our kickoff call, which by the way, don't wait till Monday. There's already amazing kickoff training for you waiting for you there. I'm going to I'm. Yes. I'm going to show you our challenge framework. I'm going to teach you how to, I'm going to teach you the beginnings of how to run a challenge. More importantly, here's what I'm going to help you do. I'm going to help you overcome insecurity. I'm going to help you overcome uncertainty. I'm going to help you overcome this imposter syndrome. I'm going to, I'm not just going to be showing you another amazing marketing strategy.
1 (29m 13s):
This is this. I use the analogy today of golf, which I don't ever golf, but I used to golf a little bit. Here's what I know. The golf clubs are irrelevant for the most part, golf clubs and equipment. Only matter when you are an expert golfer, what matters is the swing? And many of you are going or go are buying a new pair of golf clubs every week, every month, hoping that these new golf clubs will save. And the challenge is no golf club will save a horrible swing. And during this challenge, I'm going to help you get your swing dialed in so that when you put my challenge golf club, in your hand, you can wield it as a powerful weapon, but there's going to be a lot happening on the inside of you as well.
1 (30m 4s):
We're going to be one thing I talked about today. JLD I believe most entrepreneurs are struggling because they're trying to win the battle with someone else's weapons. I talked about David and Goliath. I got old school. David did not win Goliath wearing Saul's armor and sword. David won the battle with a sling shot and many entrepreneurs are losing and struggling because they're trying to win battles with other people's weapons that are copying they're modeling. They're mimicking their in comparison traps. And I'm not only here to teach you my challenge model.
1 (30m 44s):
I'm here to set you free and hopefully give you a path to back to yourself. That's the reason, the reason why people say they appreciate me is like Pedro, you're so real. You're so authentic. You're sewing yourself. I'm like, what the hell does that even mean? How has that, how, why am I being complimented for being me? Like what the hell is my other option? Like the fact that people compliment me for being myself tells me how broken we are as people today. So the biggest gift I'm going to give you is a week of introducing you back to the real you, because you're not going to win this game of marketing.
1 (31m 31s):
Trying to be JLD. You're not gonna win being me. I'm pretty good at being Pedro Dale, let me tell you, I got 46 freaking years in my skin. You're not going to beat me, trying to be me, but you can win when you actually go all in on you. And there's going to be a lot of time spent helping you get through limiting beliefs, mindsets as, and then, and then when you put them golf clubs in your hand, then when I put the megaphone on, you have our challenge framework. Now you have a clear, powerful, concise congruent message that cuts through the noise and resonates deeply with your ideal customer.
1 (32m 12s):
Who's waiting for you to show up. So JLD, if that's not enough to get them into that free challenge, nothing is
