The last time I touched a cat, my ice will shut for three days and I have not touched a cat center and my in-laws are cat people. So I finally was able to convince Kate to get a dog with me. So we had right now, we have, we got him when he was two months old, but now we have a seven month old golden doodle. His name is Gus. And one reason why you'll love him Russell is because he's hypoallergenic and no shedding, which was what I needed. Yeah, definitely. So the honor and a group of entrepreneurs, these are like my, my tribe, my people, right? And we call ourselves funnel hackers. And a lot of people, like, I don't know what that term means initially. And for us, it's like a funnel hacking is all about, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and figure things out from the beginning, it's like, lets look and see what's working on currently. Right? And so looking at other people's Funnels in other people's businesses and like looking at that as a model and then create something new and unique out of it. And I think that it's one of those things. When I got started in business online, I thought I had to like figure everything out and I was trying to be creative all the time. And it really, really struggled until I said, but there's people who have been doing this for a long time because they're just trying to reinvent the Will, let me see what they are doing. And then what are the tweaks and the changes I can get fit in my product and my service into the structure that they've proven has worked.

And you know, this as well as anyone in, in an online business, there's like the art and the science right in the science doesn't change. It's like the framework it's like the frame have a house, right? Like that, that, that doesn't change it. And so it was figure like what, what's the framework? What's the Funnel is one of the things that we know work in a process that works, the price points to work. And then on top of that, and then we weave in our own art, our own product, our own messaging. And when you figure out how to do that, you give me a call, a funnel hacking, that's the, that's the secret. And now we've had people doing this, you know, we have over a 104 hundred and 20, 130,000 active members in click funnels right now. And we see that happening in every market and the world. This has been so cool because it was a kind of a new concept, a, you know, five or six years ago now is we're seeing it happen everywhere.

And I remember you coming and bringing this phrase, this term, you know, this lifestyle, you know, back five, six years ago and I have washed it, you know, do what it's done over the past five or six years. Yes. So this is something I, ah, the concept or the principle I learned initially from Tony Robbins, who's a friend of both of ours and a Tony said, if you want to be successful in life, you need to model those who are already successful. And that's true in all parts of life. I like in, in sports and business, in everything. And, and so for me, I remember I was at an event and I heard this guy showing you one of his Funnels at one time, and they're talking about what they did and how they did it in like all the money that they spent in all of this stuff. And I remember looking at that, I was like, I'm never going to figure these things out. And then for a moment I stop, I was like, wait, wait a minute. Well, what if I, what if I just looked at what he did? And I look at it like, you know, he had a product here and there was an upsell in the down. So this was the process. It took someone. So what if I took That again, that framework. And then I just waved in my own product, my own things into it.

And so I was kind of the idea, or we didn't have a name for it back then we call it Funnel Hacking Today. But I, I used that. And so like, and this is before ClickFunnels so probably seven, eight years ago as launching a new supplement because I love supplements. I was like, wanna create my own supplement, but I knew how to do it. I found somebody who has a supplement funnel. I look at the structure they'd proven would Work to sell supplements. And they took that structure. I've built my own supplement, put my own copy in my own words, Mt. Phrases. I use it there. I use those as kind of a model, like a business model. This is what we need to do. And, and we launched it and it blew up and we haven't got huge. And what was cool about it was I didn't have to go and do tons of market research and all these things, all he had to do is literally go to the person's Funnel and by their product, I could pull my credit card in my wallet. I spend a hundred bucks, they bought the product and I was able to see everything right.

A lot of times we see some of the website or a page. It's like the tip of the iceberg. But by paying in buying the persons product and funnel hacking live, I was able to see, Oh, after the, after someone buys a product, they have to sell them with this and they don't sell with this. And this is the process. And after I saw what the process looked like, I was able to model that from my supplement. And that's how we were able to grow supplement companies so quickly.

Yeah, it's funny. When a, before we built ClickFunnels we used to do same processes. We still would Funnel hack. And we just see, like, this is what we need to crate. And then I had a team of designers and developers and programmers, and we can go and build that on, on, on average, took us about two and three months to build out a single funnel. And I remember when, when we had the idea for ClickFunnels in my business partner, Todd was coding it, their goals. Like we need to make this so simple that even Russell can do it. And so it literally, like, I will look at a Funnel. I tried to rebuild it inside a ClickFunnels one that they had spent three months building in my case, if I can build it. And at the very first time I, I tried, I got stuck and it didn't work. And they, they went back to the drawing board. We got to make it simple enough to Russell can do it. And it went over and over and over again, until eventually I was able to build my very first funnel all the way. And ClickFunnels by myself.

And it was the most liberating freeing experiences in the world. And So the second step a funnel hack. It is after you see it, then now, because we have this tool that's literally liberated and free to Entrepreneurs. So get off of this crazy town theory. You've conjured up in your mind that you're not a techie person and guess what figure things out and you don't need it to be super techie. There's an unbelievable and simple tools like click funnels and others that make things so simple. Like, listen, I'm going to sound like a little bit of an old grandpa right now.

But back in 2012, in 2011, when I was like really starting to get ramped up here that wasn't super long ago, but things were actually a lot harder back then. Like they just didn't have these things, you know, that it allowed you to just do click and drag and poof, there it is on a website. Like you have no excuses now. So stop using those silly, outdated techie blah-blah-blah blahzay excuses. And so I want to here Russell as we just take this home brother, your number one traffic hack on how to get the exact same customers who are going into your competitors, websites to start coming to your funnel instead to take it away.

She never knows what a lot of ways start tracking. I wrote a whole book on how to get traffic, right? But a one of the things that I think that is everyone overlooks that everyone gets into, like, I need to run Facebook ads or Google or Instagram and all those things are all good, but you got to learn the platform and there's a, it's always changing. And so for me that I'm not, again, I'm not a technical person. That was like, when I started the business, like I have to figure out a way to get traffic to it. I can do that. Doesn't change that simple. And so what I started doing his face is figuring out like who, my competitors, who the people I'm competing against. And there's some really cool research tools. Like one of them is adbeat.com and other called similar web.com where you can take the website or the Funnel of somebody who you're competing against for someone whose got the same customers that you want and you plug it in there and it shows you every single webpage they're buying ads on it is one of the coolest things where once you plug it in and it'll say, okay, here's the 10 blogs at it adds on.

Here's a, here's like, and here's the website. Here's the things like that. So what I do is I plug it in there. I'm like, OK, my competitors, here's all the sites, their advertising on. And that's not counting Facebook. You know, things like that. It's just a traditional websites. And I go directly to those websites. So I'm like, Hey, I see you as a banner ad from my competitor. Can I buy a banner ad too? And they say sure. And all of a sudden that quick, I've got my banner ad on that the same page of my competitors are getting traffic from. So it shortens the process is nothing technical or nothing difficult. It's just like, where are my competitor's buying ads? Go their pay the dues at the same price as your competitors are. And instantly a percentage of the traffic was going to your competitor's. Now it starts coming to you instead. And when you see it in and get the webinars, break it down and share examples of it. Like it's such a simple strategy.

If you've ever been frustrated because you can't get traffic or you can't figure out Facebook are, you got slapped, you have an account shut down. Or any of those things, this is something that's like recession proof. It's slap proof. If it works, it's simple. It's not technical. It's just reverse engineering where the traffic is coming from your competitors and then getting in front of that same traffic as well.

How do we bring that to the emotion in the energy in so that people can feel like they're experiencing it? Like you said to me saying, Oh yeah, we give people two comma club awards. Like I want them feeling like they're onstage getting that award or like the anything that I can do to create more belief in people. The more likely the art to be successful, right? Skeptical people will rarely have success for people who believe that the ones who have successful, we got to create a belief.
