Wondering what conferences to attend? Know that this is your headquarters for the top conferences for entrepreneurs!
Clearly much has changed over the past year with Covid-19, and so many of the events we know and love attending in person have been moved online. Hopefully that changes in 2021!
Know that we’ll continue updating this post so you’re sure to have the latest and greatest info on what conferences to attend – regardless of whether they’re in person or virtual.
If you’re an entrepreneur looking to hone your skills, expand your knowledge, become an expert in a particular area, or build incredible relationships with others who are on the same path as you, then finding the right conferences to attend is important.
Conferences are not only a significant monetary investment, but they’re typically a significant time investment as well. When you consider your travel time, your time spent at the event, and the time it takes to get back into your routine once you’re home – it all adds up quick!
So how do you know which conferences will give you a legitimate return on investment?
What conferences should I attend?
First things first, you have to know what your goals for your business are for the next three to 12 months.
Once you have your goals set, you’ll be able to look at conference opportunities from a new perspective: will this conference help me get one step closer to accomplishing my goal?
You can determine whether a conference will help you accomplish your goal by looking at things like:
- The main topics they’ll focus on
- The speaker lineup
- The time commitment
- The monetary investment
For example, if your goal is to improve your stage presence, learn how to be a great speaker, and eventually get paid to speak, then attending a conference like Michael and Amy Port’s Heroic Public Speaking is definitely something to consider.
Whatever your goals, interests, or focus this year, be sure you weigh your options, talk to people who have attended the conference you’re interested in, and ask about their experience.
