[15:54] – Clean water has been brought to 15.5 million people. How did Scott achieve that kind of success?
- They were so clear with what they were doing. They were on a mission to bring clean water to every person in the world, and they haven’t wavered from that ever since.
[17:41] – Scott’s favorite story out of 15.5 million people who now have clean water.
- His favorite is a story from Ethiopia. The hotel owner came and recognized him. One of the women from the village walked 7 hours carrying a claypot, and slipped and fell before she got home. The water she spent the entire day walking for was all over the ground.
- A couple of weeks later, he asked his wife to go there, walk her footsteps, connect in the most visceral way with the urgency of their work.
- If you were born in a village without water, your life is so different.
- Helen’s life has been different ever since she gained access to water next to her house instead of having to walk miles or an entire day for it.
