- Identify all the things that you dislike in your job and write them down.
- Create a list of what you want and write it down.
- Evaluate your list from step 2 and identify the 3-5 items that are most important to you – your non-negotiables.
- To ensure that the company fulfills your non-negotiables, you must ask for them specifically during the interview.
- Interviewing is like dating; you have to re-define the process as a two-way street.
- If you are disengaged, you have to ask for what you wanted from your company or find a company that will give you what you want.
