So, Ryan, say what’s up to Fire Nation and then share something interesting about yourself that most people, even me, maybe don’t know.
Ryan: What’s up Fire Nation! John, it’s awesome to be back here. I’m super grateful for the opportunity. As far as something that is interesting, well, a couple of things. My whole family, even though we’re not Chinese, speak Chinese. So, we have our own little secret language. My three-year-old, my six-year-old, myself, when we’re out and about, will kind of have our own little secret language. People look at us like, “What’s going on?” but it’s a lot of fun.
John: Nice. I love that. Fire Nation, I want you to kind of think about what would you say if someone was to ask you what’s interesting about yourself. Because you all have interesting things. And we sometimes just don’t talk about that enough because it can lead to some really cool conversations. And of course, what are we doing here today? Well, we’re dropping value bombs on an audio master class. So, no matter where you are Fire Nation, this is going to be a valuable, viable master class for you. Now, Ryan, let’s kind of start off at the beginning because I feel like it’s important to kind of get this complete hero’s journey kind of understanding where you’ve come from, and where you are right now. So, you are now, currently as we speak, educating tens of thousands of people. But where did it all began?
Ryan: So, for me it all began more than 10 years ago. I was in a corporate job and I was burning out. On a whim, I went on a trip and downloaded a book called The Four-Hour Work Week. This is back in 2007. I was living in China at the time, I downloaded the audio book and my mind was blown. I just couldn’t believe that there was this whole other world that I didn’t even know about. Like I thought the path was go to college, get a good job, work the corporate ladder, and someday you’ll retire. And so, it totally blew my mind.
And it took me on this long and winding journey that had a lot of failures and missteps along the way. But the first thing that I actually started making money with online, was in a random obscure niche teaching people how to make jewelry using Scrabble tiles and origami paper. And you laugh at it, but that business believe it or not was the first thing that we actually made work. And we took that from $0.00 to $8,000 a month in that tiny little obscure market. And so that was the first thing that gave me hope and made me realize that, “Hey, you can actually make money online!”
John: I’m actually laughing with you, Ryan.
Ryan: And if you like, I can hook you up with some Scrabble tile pendants for you and Kate –
Ryan: I know we can do Fire Nation style on them. But so I did that, and that business took off. I was super excited about it. I’d quit my job at this point, no safety net, and then that business completely fell apart and went to nothing. And that was when I realized the importance of going to markets that are not fads. It turns out that this whole jewelry thing with Scrabble tiles was a total fad. It picked up... it was just like Beanie Babies. It went crazy, it was this mini worldwide phenomenon and then it went to nothing. And then my wife and I had our moment where we looked at each other and said, “Oh crap! What are we going to do now?” she was in grad school, I didn’t have any income coming in, and so what we decided to do was move back to the United States from Asia to Texas. She got a job as a museum curator making about $40K a year. We lived on that salary as we launched our second business which was in a very evergreen market that wasn’t going away which was in the gardening space. Specifically teaching people how to care for their orchids, as in the flower. And we built that business from nothing to $25K a month in about 18 months. My wife quit her job, she jumped in full time with me, we launched a third business in the memory improvement space teaching people how to improve their memory, which is what I studied in college. I studied neuroscience in college. So, I had to make my parents happy and use my degree.
And then from there we entered into 23 different markets one right after the other. All using what’s now come to be known as the ASK Method. And in every single one of these markets, we were effectively starting from scratch, building an email list from scratch, and so, I know that’s what we’re talking about today. That’s the short version of my story.
John: Well, I love that story. It never gets old for me because to me, Fire Nation, it’s all about swinging the bat. You know, if Ryan had never swung the bat the first time when it came to Scrabble tile jewelry, he never would’ve realized there was an opportunity. But then he never would’ve realized also that there’s a lot of things right here, but there’s something wrong. This is a fad. Let’s move into something now that’s not a fad.
Something that’s been around for hundreds of thousands of years, which is gardening. And that was something he was able to build a stable income around. And he’s continued to iterate, to test, and to do all these different things. Something that I really respect you for it is that you know how to create systems. You know how to create automation. You know how to create methods. I mean honestly, you’ve done such a good job with that word method, that whenever I hear method in any context, I think of Ryan Levesque.
And I think I get a lot of my listeners that say, “John, whenever I hear the word ‘On Fire’, no matter if it’s on sports, or whatever it might be, I think of like that’s what I love. That’s branding and that’s doing good things. And you’ve done that with the ASK Method. And this is something Fire Nation that I’ve used in my business now for years. So, let’s kind of walk through exactly what this ASK Method is because you only do... I think it’s twice a year... that’s it. You do this actual ASK Method training workshop. It is completely free. So, I’d love to let Fire Nation know a little bit more about that. But first, what exactly is it?
Ryan: Absolutely. So, it’s really cool to see your ASK Method style quiz on your website which is great for anyone of your listeners to be able to experience the power of it firsthand. And so, what is The ASK Method exactly? Well, there are really three main steps to The ASK Method. And the steps are discover, segment, and launch. Discover is all about doing a series of surveys and market research exercises to understand your market at a deep emotional level. I see many entrepreneurs skip this step, and they are unable to get the traction and success that they want. This step is also designed to help you uncover what are the hidden segments, what we call buckets, that exist in your market. So, for example your listeners fall into several different buckets and their different episodes of your show, different trainings that you have that are more applicable to those different buckets.
And that’s the second step, segment. To put people into different buckets. The way you’ve done that in your business is on your homepage you have an ASK Method style quiz that asks a series of questions to put people into different segments so that you can put in front of them different messaging, communicate with them in different ways, send them different emails. And it sets you up to be able to create a more tailored customized buying experience as opposed to putting everybody in the same bucket and selling in a one-size-fits-all way.
In the final step is launch. And launch is basically just the thing that you’ve built. In your case, the quiz or assessment or one question survey on your website. It’s just launching that into the world and taking that live. And so, if we were to kind of sum things up in a simple sentence, The ASK Method is a marketing methodology to identify the hidden pain, challenges, needs, wants, and desires of your market, put those different people into buckets so you can tailor that buying experience. And then allow you to not only better sell to those people, but also better serve your audience in the process.
John: What I really wanna pinpoint that you just talked about that I think a lot of people don’t realize, is that that word hidden is so true. These are hidden pains, these are hidden desires, that don’t just come up. People don’t just offer these to you on a platter Fire Nation. You have to figure out a method, a step-by-step process to uncover these, to reveal these. Yes, it’s more work. And yes, it’s difficult, but when you do, you have the most valuable information in the world because you have the knowledge on what your competitors don’t. And that you can use to great success.

So, at the end of the day Ryan, let’s just kind of break this down. What can the ASK Method do for entrepreneurs?
Ryan: Well, when we talked about the title of this master class, How to Build a Large Email List for Free When You’re Completely Starting from Scratch, this is how you do it. And so, it all starts with not only understanding your market, but when you do the types of surveys and research process that is involved in the ASK Method, what ends up happening is your market writes your copy for you. So, if you’ve e my email subject line be today? Which of the headline be on my landing page? What should I say on my sales page? When you go through this process, the market pours out the exact natural consumer language that they use and writing copy or messaging becomes as simple as just echoing it back to them.
The response that it creates is, and you’ve probably experienced this yourself, where people say, “Oh my gosh, John, it’s like... it’s like you know what’s going on inside my head better than even I know... better than I can even describe it. Like how can you... are you like spying on me at the dinner table?” When you create that response, people... what happens is that not only do they naturally gravitate to you, but the only question that they have is, “Okay John, you understand exactly what I’m going through. What should I do next?” And it opens the door for you to offer your products and services in a way that doesn’t require you to sell very hard. Because people have already opened up and they’re ready to purchase. So, that’s the first thing.
Second thing is, when we talk about building a large email list for free when you’re completely starting from scratch, here’s what you need. You need one way to generate traffic, one way to capture those leads, and one thing to sell to those people after they opt in to your email list. And the way you build your email list for free is you have your customers pay for it instead of you.
And what I mean by that is imagine this, imagine if, just to give a simple example, you spend $50.00 on Facebook advertising. And then, you have something that you sell for $50.00. Now if you spend $50.00 a day on Facebook advertising, and your leads are costing you... let’s call it $1.00 per lead. You generate 50 email subscribers. But you’ve paid $50.00. The way you build that list for free is, after someone opts in to your email list, you immediately sell something. For the purposes of this illustration, let’s say it’s a $50.00 product. If you can get one out of 50 people to buy that $50.00 product, you have now built that little email list for free.
Now you might say, “Well, 50 people, that’s no big deal.” Well, if you do that every day, day in and day out, 50 today, 50 tomorrow, 50 the next day, the numbers start adding up. And then as you become more confident, what you do is you add a zero to that number. And instead of being 50 people a day, its 500 people a day.
Now, the thing that you need is a mechanism that is attractive enough for people to opt in to. And there is no more powerful mechanism that I’ve experienced in my life than a lead generating quiz or assessment just like john has directly on his web site. And to give you a sense for what’s possible, so, we have as I mentioned, I have a business in the orchid care space, the memory space, I’ve been in markets like tennis instruction, golf instruction, weight loss, satellite TVs, high-end water filtration systems, business funding... the list goes on. And at my peak, using quizzes, I was generating upwards of 100K email subscribers per day across those 23 different markets. And that’s not an exaggeration. That’s not a misprint. That is the truth.
In the golf market alone, between 6K and 10K email subscribers per day. In the tennis market, 1K to 2K. In the weight loss market, 25K to 40K subscribers per day. That’s how powerful quizzes can be. And I share those numbers not to intimidate you, or to make you think that you have to build a business that requires that, it’s just to show you that if you can do 100K email subscribers per day, then you probably can do like 100, right? That’s reasonable to expect. And so, the point of this is if you want to build a large email list for free from scratch, there’s no more powerful way to do that that I’ve found then to use a lead generating quiz or assessment as your lead generating mechanism.
John: Fire Nation, I want you to think about a lot of the things that Ryan said, but specifically are you able to echo back to your customers their thoughts, they’re pinpoints, their desires? Are you able to use the words that they are using or are thinking or would use, because if you do this they will be convinced that you have the solution if you are eloquently able to describe their problem even better than they are.
So, many things to think about with what Ryan just said. I wanted to really highlight that because to me that’s so important, but I think some people right now who are listening Ryan might be wondering, “Well, is this actually for me because I’m either just getting started, or maybe I already have an email list of 5,000 people or 50,000 people, or 500 people... like, who specifically is the ASK Method for?”
Ryan: Totally. And so, the ASK Method is really for five different types of people. And so, as I walk through these five different situations, I encourage you to kind of listen and think about which won best describes where you’re at right now. So, No. 1, the ASK Method is appropriate if you’re just getting started and you’re trying to figure out what market to go into. And the reason for that is, you can use surveys as a way to gauge the relative demand that exists in different markets. All things being equal, if you’re trying to evaluate multiple markets and you have one market that’s incredibly responsive vs. another market that is not responsive at all, the market that is more responsive, that is an indication that they are in heat. There’s more demand to purchase products and services in that market than the other market that’s not as responsive. So, if you don’t even know what business you want to start, but you just want to start a business, we have a process with the ASK Method to identify what market to pursue. So, that’s the first situation.
The second situation is if you’ve already decided what business that you want to start is, but you don’t really have an email list and you are looking to build that large email list from scratch, and not have to spend a ton of money to have to do that. So, that’s the second situation.
The third situation is if you are a service provider, and you serve a small number of clients in a deep way... maybe you’re a consultant. Maybe you are a professional and you would like to get more leads for your practice, the ASK Method is a perfect approach to generate the consistent flow of steady leads coming into your business.
The fourth situation is if you already have an established successful business. Maybe you have an email list that’s already at thousands of people, maybe tens of thousands of people, and you’re looking to scale that email list further. The ASK Method is perfect to scale to that next level whether it’s going from 6 to 7 figure’s, or from going one million dollars a year to multiple millions of dollars a year.
And last but not least, the ASK Method is an approach... if you are a marketing consultant and you do other marketing work for other businesses, the ASK Method is one of the most in demand processes that people want other people to implement for them. There are a ton of businesses out there that have more money than time, and they would rather just hire someone to implement this whole process for them. And we have what we call our ASK Method Associate Program. People who are trained up in the ASK Method to do it for other people. They charge anywhere from $10K to $50K just to implement this work for somebody else. And in many cases, they’re also paid an ongoing royalty on the results that they generate in perpetuity for their clients. So, if you’re in any one of those different buckets or groups, the ASK Method is something that’s worth considering diving into and checking out.
John: So, Fire Nation, I’ll just quickly rip through that again because I really want to make sure that you understand there are really five different categories here. If you’re just getting started in trying to figure out your market, number one. Number two, if you’re looking to build your list. That’s number two. And if you’re looking to get actually leads, but you wanna serve a small number of customers in a very deep way, you want more of those types of leads, this is for you and that’s number three. Number four is to actually sell to hundreds of customers and even scale further than that into the 5, 6, 7, 8 potential figure category. And if you’re a consultant.
So, those of the areas where you should be able to figure out which one you resonate most closely with. And one thing and you know this Ryan, that I love talking most about on the show our results. So, Fire Nation we love talking about results. So, we’re going to get deep and dirty into some amazing results that actual students are getting. I’ll you then share some personal things as well with me because we’re getting absolute results from this.
So, we’re gonna take a quick minute, we’re going to chat with Billie Jean and then we’ll be right back.
So, Ryan, we’re back and as we mentioned before the break, we both are results guys. That’s how we got to where we’re at today and I really want to talk about some results that your students specifically are getting. So, let’s kind of maybe start off with someone who’s just getting started. Do you have any examples of people getting results in that area?
Ryan: Yeah, totally. And one of the cool things that’s part of the free workshop that we do once or twice a year is, if you’re the type other person that likes see examples, we’re talking about this on a theoretical level. And you might kinda get the concepts that we’re talking about, but it’s really helpful to see actual real businesses.
One of the things I think you’re going to love about the workshop, is that you are going to actually see and hear from actual students and what they’re doing. How they’re applying the ASK Method in their business. So, a few examples here. I’ll give you an example like Alexis. Alexis is someone who came across the ASK Method when she was literally just getting started in her business. She sells to artists, one of the most difficult markets to sell to because we all know the old adage of the starving artist. Artists are historically a market that doesn’t have a whole lot of disposable income to invest in themselves. And so, she sells to artists and helps them grow their business online.
She used the ASK Method to identify the pain points in the market that she wanted to address, and with that research launched a business that went from 0 to 6 figures in her first nine months. So, she went from $0 to over $100,000 a year in her first nine months. And she literally just finished an ASK Method Launch for new product that she launched. She generated over $260,000.
What I love most about Alexis’ story is she just got her first six figure artist client. So, one of the clients or customers that had invested in her program, herself went from 0 to 6 figures. So, not only issue getting results, but her customers are also getting results. And this is within the span of just a little over a year. So, if you’re just getting started, I just wanted to show the power of if you got some hustle, and are ready to work, how quickly you can potentially see results. So, that’s the first example.
Another example is... one of the stories I love the most is Jamal’s story. Jamal is so cool. Jamal and his wife Natasha, they are in a very faith-based space. And they help couples... they help singles find the one... find their soul mate. And it’s a very faith-based market or audience that they serve. It’s all through prayer and through God. And Jamal is someone who was a ministry kid growing up. He plays a really big role in his church and he started a business. The business completely failed, and he was forced to go back to work and get a job making $17.00 an hour. They just basically ran out of money, he had to get a job, he had a new baby on the way, he’s the breadwinner in his family and had to get a job making $17.00 an hour.
And literally, while his wife was in the delivery room with their second child, is when the master class opened last year. He made the decision to invest in the master class. People said he was crazy. Long story short, he went from making $17.00 an hour to earning over $600,000 in his first year in business. And his first week after graduating the master class generated 10,000 leads – email subscribers with the quiz that he launched in that market.
Now, Jamaal gets all the credit. He’s a guy who hustles. He works hard. I don’t wanna make this seem like this is push a button and it’s automatic wealth or riches or anything like that. He certainly worked hard, but he followed the process. He followed the framework. And his business is being covered by all sorts of media now. So, Jamal is a great story.
John: He’s such a cool dude to. I got to meet him at your event in Puerto Rico here. Just a great guy.
Ryan: He’s such a great guy! Yeah, totally! You’ll hear more about Jamal’s story when you sign up for the workshop. So, the third category is if you’re in a business right now where you serve like a small number of people and you want to get more leads. And so, one of my favorite stories here is Ian’s situation. So, Ian, he helps job seekers get jobs. And he specifically helps older job seekers. So, there’s a big problem in the market right now where older job seekers, and if you’re listening to this, maybe this is the situation you find yourself in. But there’s a lot of ageism in the market, right? So, people they have a career, they’re in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, and are interviewing for a new position, and there’s a sort of negativity in the job market. So, he helps job seekers in their 40s, 50s, and 60s find their job and get past gatekeepers and get interviews and things like that. So, that’s his business.
So, Ian was someone who was a corporate guy, had a corporate career, tried to build his business on the side, quit his job, started making his business, but he’s barely making ends meet. He’s treading water, he’s going through his savings. There are some results, but there’s just not enough money to cover his expenses. And so, his old company reached out to him and literally offered him a job. They said hey we want you back. We want to hire you back. And it was a decent job, like a six figure... low six figure corporate salary. And he was literally weeks away from going back to his old corporate job and taking that job.
He said, “You know what? I’m going to give this one last shot.” And so, he applied the ASK Method, he added the ASK Method to his business, and the results completely took off. He went from basically treading water, to now making over $60,000 a month. He called his company and he said, “Thanks but no thanks. Things are going okay right now.” And his business is just going to the Moon. He lives with his family in Norway. He’s from Florida originally so he gets to travel the world, he lives in Norway because they love skiing and they love the winter and the beautiful scenery. You’re going to hear about Ian’s story. It’s a really, really cool story. So, that’s Ian’s.
Another situation... so, those of you are saying, “Okay, this is great, but like you’ve got a business already. You’re already making money. Is this just for just total beginners?” You’re going to love Charlie’s story. So, Charlie’s story is really cool. Charlie is from New Zealand. He’s a musician and he built a little business in the guitar space teaching people how to play guitar. And he had this business for a little over a year, and he had grown the business to about $10,000 a month. And it was enough for him to make it is full-time income. And Charlie wasn’t living a crazy, lavish lifestyle or anything like that. Now for me, when I first came into this world, that was my goal. I said, “If I can make $10.000 a month, I’ll never... that’s it. Why would I ever want to do anything else?”
So, Charlie got to that level, but he wanted more. So, he enrolled. He went through the ASK Method process and he applied it in his business. And you’re going to hear Charlie’s story. This is incredible. Charlie went from $10K a month, to $20K a month, to $40K a month, to $60K a month, to $100K a month, to $120K, to $140K, to $160K, to $180K, to $200K, to $220K, to $240K –
John: When are you stopping?
Ryan: Right now, he’s at $250K a month.
John: Oh, my goodness!
Ryan: Every single month in the last 16 months since he enrolled.
John: He’s gotta move to Puerto Rico.
Ryan: Yeah. It’s just insane. So, he was living... and this is no joke, he was a musician and he was literally sleeping on couches. There’s a photo of him where he and his bandmates had to sleep outside of a building one night because they had nowhere to crash. He just bought a house like yours, a mansion in New Zealand, he bought his dream car, a Mustang which is what he’s always wanted.
And the coolest thing about Charlie’s... you’ll love this part of his story. He’s in New Zealand. There are two Ford dealerships in New Zealand. There’s one near where he lives, and one super far away on the other island. He decided to go to the other island to buy his mustang there, so he could drive the thing back with the top down. He had his entire heavy metal playlist planned out so when he pulled off the lot he could just have his own private road trip back and enjoy the experience. It’s just so cool because it transformed his life.
And you know, when you hear Charlie’s story you’ll see some other things that he’s done for his bandmates that were just never going to experience this type of lifestyle. For his dad... it’s just a really cool story.
So, if you have an established business that you wanna kinda take to that next level, going from six to seven figures, you can see Charlie’s. And Charlie’s on his way from six to seven... probably to eight figures not too long from now.
And last but not least, if you’re a consultant... like if you do marketing for other people, you don’t have to build your own business using this. There are businesses out there that are listening to this master class right now who are saying, “This is cool, but I don’t have time to do this. Can’t I just... who can I hire? Can’t I just hire someone to do this?” There’s a tremendous opportunity. There’s so much demand in the marketplace right now for this and I’ll give you an example.
So, Tabitha also came from a corporate background. She quit her six-figure corporate job to basically do marketing for other people. She was in a marketing position at her last company and she started doing marketing for other people. But she was struggling as a freelancer. She was struggling to get clients. The results were kind of hit and miss. Sometimes they were working and sometimes they weren’t.
Long story short, she started applying the ASK Method and implementing it for her clients. She did a summit for one of her clients using the ASK Method, generated over 67,000 email subscribers for the client. The client said, “Alright, I’m going to double what I’m paying you and we’re going to do it again next year.” The next year got even better results. Word got out. She is so in demand right now for people wanting to implement this with her. Not only does she have a wait list that’s six months long, but she is now referring work out to other people and she is actually taking a referral fee on this.
And the punch line to the whole thing is this. She was making a decent six figure salary in her corporate job and recently she just told me... and you’ll hear about her story in the workshop, she has quadrupled her corporate salary where she was making six figures. So, you can do the math on that and you can say, “Well gosh. She’s making some pretty good money just implementing the ASK Method for other businesses.”

Well, I’m gonna show you a cool little trick that you can use where you type in four words into Google to discover the actual buckets in your market. So, we’re tapping in to the meta-intelligence of Google who has arguably more data than anybody else and using that as a starting point for identifying what the buckets might be in your market. I already mentioned, you can see dozens of different examples. So, if you want to see examples of businesses like yours and markets like yours, this is a great opportunity to see this and kind of bring it all to life.

John: What I think holds a lot of people back Ryan, is they think this just sounds so complicated. There’s all these things I have to implement, and I have to do x, y, and z, and I have to create Splash pages, and I have to collect all the emails and segment them and do all these things... People just put up these barriers and they come up with reasons why not to do stuff and it breaks my heart, because I’ve been through your system and it’s so gosh darn simple to follow step by step. So, what do you wanna say to somebody who thinks this might be complicated or difficult?
Ryan: For me, this is where I’ve invested more than 10,000 hours of my life. I’ve done this in 23 different markets. I’ve been doing this for a decade. I’ve seen the methodology evolve over the course of the decade as the Internet has evolved and the Internet has changed. This is what I do all day every day. And when you’re that focused on one thing, what it allows you to do is to identify simplicity on the far side of complexity.
And so, whenever you learn something new, like at first it seems really simple. Oh, this is obvious. Just ask people what they want and give it to them. Well the reality is, it’s not as simple as that, right? Because you can’t just ask people what it is that they want. People don’t know what they want. If I were to ask you right now, “What does your dream life look like,” You’re going to answer that in a way today that’s gonna be very different than five years from now, or ten years from now. We’re not really good at knowing what it is that we want.
We are good at knowing the answer to two different questions though. So, it’s all about asking the right questions. And it’s all about simplicity on the far side of complexity. You’re going to discover that there are only a few things that really matter. So, in this online world where you have everything from podcasting and webinars, and Facebook Lives, and Facebook groups, and Pinterest, and Instagram, and Google AdWords, and Facebook advertising, and email marketing and Via Cells and sales pages and all of these different things. It’s like, oh my gosh. How do you make time for all of it?
Well the answer is, it’s all about identifying the few things that really matter based on where you are right now. And that’s what you’re going to get with The ASK Method workshop. You’re going to identify the few things for you to focus on right now based on where you’re at in your business. And those few things are going to be different for you then they are going to be for someone who’s at a different place in their business. And so, it’s all about simplicity on the far side of complexity. It’s all about the few things that really matter.
And last but not least, one of the things, and I have this on a bracelet that I give to every single one of my students, is you have to remind yourself and be okay with what I’m about to say. You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. And it’s all about having that momentum and keep moving forward and taking imperfect action.
John: Imperfect Action Fire Nation! That is really the mantra because if you don’t take any action, you’re never going to learn anything from that lack of action you’re taking. Because again, what was it Ryan was doing - taking a swing... Scrabble jewelry. And then he’s like okay. There are some things that I can take away from here. Let’s move into orchids. And I’ve done this over and over and over again in my journey. And every successful entrepreneur you’ve heard on this show has taken imperfect action. So, Ryan I like to be completely honest with Fire Nation, so, let me first off start by saying Fire Nation, I’m honestly telling you this is amazing training. And the fact that it’s free makes it almost criminal if you don’t consider jumping into this because it’s that valuable. So, get in there. You owe it to yourself. You owe it to your future self. Ryan: Everything that I teach is from personal experience. So, I’m a big believer... I didn’t each for a long time because I had stuck in my mind, those who cannot do ‘teach’... this idea that it’s rare to find someone who’s both a practitioner and an educator. Typically, they’re often mutually exclusive. People are either great in doing things and accomplishing things and then people who are good at teaching but maybe didn’t have that experience in the real world.
So, all of my experience in the past ten years has been specifically in the online arena. And the reason why I say that is, if you’re looking for help setting up a laundromat, or setting up a 7/11 and getting foot traffic to the door, this approach is not for you. This is for you if you sell products online. These can be digital products like courses, membership sites, continuity programs... things like that. This is for you if sell E-Commerce products. If you sell physical products like kitchen products or, like I mentioned, a water filtration system, or you sell anything physical online.
This is for you if you don’t necessarily sell something online, but you generate leads online. So, if you’re a coach, a consultant and you generate leads online that you either close over the phone or that come to your physical space, like if you’re a dentist and you generate patient leads online that then come to your physical office, this is for you.
So, I just want to be clear, if you’re looking for an approach that’s for face-to-face, in person selling, if you’re looking for an approach that’s for selling multi-million-dollar government contracts that have an 18-month sales cycle, this is not for you. This is for you if you sell stuff online. Or you generate leads for the stuff that you sell online.
