Today’s Audio MASTERCLASS: LinkedIn Secrets for Busy Entrepreneurs: Grow your Sales, Authority, and Impact with Only 2 Hours a Week with Yesim Saydan
[1:30] – Yesim shares something that she believes about becoming successful that most people disagree with.
- People say you need to work hard to be successful, but what you need to do is work smart and have a positive mindset. If you believe it will be hard to be successful, then that’s what you’ll get. If you believe you’ll be successful and take action everyday, you’ll get success sooner.
[2:31] – Why is LinkedIn important for entrepreneurs?
- LinkedIn went through a big transformation. A lot of people haven’t realized it yet. Those who do are getting bigger returns on their investment.
- LinkedIn has been around for a long time, and it has been a trusted platform. You can check people’s background, testimonials, and there are over 800 million users on the platform.
- When people are on social media they are more in entertainment mode. On LinkedIn, they are in business mode, which makes it easier to connect with them for your business.
[3:59] – Why now for LinkedIn?
- LinkedIn realized how other social media platforms are building features and monetization systems for creators
- If you are one of the early birds to adapt it and use it, then the platform gives you a lot more reach and visibility.
[5:39] – Yesim’s response to LinkedIn just being a database.
- They want to feature stories of people – especially executives and entrepreneurs – who want to talk about their struggles openly.
- LinkedIn has become a social platform where professionals are talking about their struggles, whether related to the workplace or their personal lives.
[8:17] – Isn’t LinkedIn a place that’s just for formal business conversations?
- The pandemic changed the way we consume content. When everything is so professional, people can’t relate to it. It sounds like an advertisement.
- On LinkedIn, be open and talk about your daily struggles; that’s what gets the most engagement and interaction because that is real life. People want to see content that reflects real life.

[13:14] – The last thing that people need is another thing to do. Won’t LinkedIn require a lot of our time?
- Work with a LinkedIn strategist who can develop a clear action plan for you to follow
- Keeping up with social media algorithms is a full time job.
- Most people use social media in a Post-And-Ghost kind of way. They focus all of their time and energy on content creation and then leave.
[16:15] – Real life examples of how Yesim has helped entrepreneurs leverage LinkedIn
- Even if somebody is a big influencer, they want to see if people are leaving comments. They want to be seen and heard because they are human.
- Leave a comment with at least one long sentence that will add value. The best way to add value is by giving them a compliment in a way that shows them you’ve read their post and thought about it. It needs to be sincere.
[22:36] – Who is the LinkedIn Accelerator Program for?
- It is for busy professionals and successful entrepreneurs.
- Yesim combines the best one-on-one coaching programs and group programs, and helps you come up with a unique structure.
